For Yard Signs.
A yard sign without a QR is a missed conversion. The passer-by who slows down, the parked-car browser, the voter walking the dog — all of them will scan a clean code on a clear sign. Make yours. Print big. Mount it on every lawn.

Visitors scan to register, request the next showing, or download the property brochure.
Garage Sales & Block Parties
Link to a map, a list of items, or your Venmo for the bake sale. Way more effective than a hand-written sign.
How to make a QR code for a yard sign
- Paste the destination URL — donation page, listing, or registration form. Link to a page you own so you can update it later.
- Pick a high-contrast colour combo — black-on-white is the standard for a reason; tinted backgrounds wash out in sun.
- Download the PNG. Test a proof at actual print size before you order a full run.
- Send the file to VictoryStore, Easy Signs, or VistaPrint. Pair the code with a 4–6 word CTA so passers-by know what to expect.
Common questions
Use the 10:1 rule — code size = scanning distance ÷ 10. A buyer or voter scanning from 1 metre away needs a 10 cm code. From 1.5 metres, 15 cm.
Standard 18 × 24 inch lawn signs comfortably fit a 12–15 cm (5–6 inch) QR with room left over for your headline.
Yes — printed on UV-resistant ink and 4 mm corrugated plastic, the standard yard-sign substrate, a QR stays scannable for a full campaign cycle or listing run.
Keep contrast strong (black code on white panel beats coloured-on-coloured every time) so glare in midday sun doesn't wash it out.
Three options work best: a one-page candidate bio, a donation form, or a volunteer signup. Pick one; do not try to be all three on the same sign.
For voter-registration drives, use Vote.org or your state's registration portal. Match the URL to the call-to-action printed beside the code.
Not once printed — the URL is baked into the code. Plan ahead: link to a page you own and control, so you can update the destination (new issue, sold home) without reprinting.
VictoryStore, Easy Signs, and Super Cheap Signs are the standard names for political and real-estate runs. Upload your PNG, order 50–500 signs, and they ship in a week.
For one-off custom signs at home: VistaPrint or Office Depot will print a 18 × 24 inch yard sign overnight if you upload the file by lunch.
